quote: i aint taking a wild guess you know:| when i got my corsa at first and it had a 1.28v engine it would regularly cut out at junctions and take an age to start back up and also had a strong smell of fuel off it when it did and no eml light on the dash to give me a clue of whats wrong... replaced the CTS and bobs yer uncle... it worked perfect... so mneaaaaa:P

unlikely to be ccolant temp sensor, but worth a try. the cts adjusts the fuel mixture, but not enough to make a car stall or fail to start.

If you've had a test done on the ignition system don't waste your money if it's alright!

i have recently broken down twice and on both times i called RAC, guy got me going first time, 2nd time i was told my igniation system is working fine, producing perfect sparks, battery is fine and alternator is charging, so then he said next thing to check is the fuel system, he said my fuel pump needed replacing, so after asking a few people i changed my fuel pump, how cheap are they by the way :o. |
