will an alpine interface even connect to an mp3 player or will i have to buy an i-pod? i can see this getting expensive:lol:

afraid they are the only 2 ways unless its a pioneer which you can get aux in adaptors for.

is it possible to connect an mp3 player to an in-car c.d headunit without using a modulator?
