I have the correct wiring loom for the engine but it has no harness to go onto the ecu, its been chopped off. So i brought another loom which i've now discovered is wrong....is there anyway to make it work using what i have??

My 20XEJ has a Cossie head, Forged pistons, early type ECU with no Lambda sensor and doesn't use a catalytic convertor.

the main difference was 93 spec engine it had
revised cambelt and tensioners (plastic type) different oil pump case, potted flywheel coil pack with motronic 2.5 evern the cylinder head is different cos i has mountains or coil on it and they supposedly cured the porous head syndrome

hmm, i seem to be mix and matching on my engine, i have the early engine, but i have a late wiring loom with 4 pin coil pack and lambda sensor in the manifold. What easier to do....change the loom? or just buy the rest of the bits for a late engine?

The early c20xe and the later c20xe's

I'm referring specifically to the wiring.

Is the throttle position sensor the only thing different on them? And if so could you just change the throttle position sensor to make an early engine work on the later wiring loom......if you get what i mean.

Appreciate help

Cheers
