this new system u can also put a engine code in if it has had a engine swap but it does need to be on the log book :)

same with me, i told the tester is was a 1989 astra GTE engine and he tested it as that. no problems.

mot goes on year of engine so if you can prove your engine is older than the car and doesnt need a cat, then it wont need one on the test.

i just told the bloke who mot'd my xe it was a 1990 engine, he passed its emissions no bother

How do i go about MOTin the car? The engine is a 2.0 seh engine an has no cat. How do i get around this problem?
