got loads of oil in.... been told 2 much but havin a oil change 2moro also

found out gasket n head have gone...
well the gasket lasted 5 fuckin miles n all down 2 the head been told....
gettin fixed hopefully 2moro

odd, were there any tell-tale signs of gasket failure? lots of white smoke from exhaust for example? was it losing water?
loud rattling noise suggests oil is not reaching the lifters. could be the death rattle of an oil starved engine.
Was the head checked for warping when gasket was replaced?

carrying on from topic while ago....
basically my engine been overheatin 4 about a yr.
fan never came on but as i drove it cooled it down, only overheated when in traffic etc
last 2wks it started 2 over heat all the time after approx 4-5miles (even when drivin)
i also lost power (speedo decreased) quite fast.....
was told it was the head gasket so i has a new 1 fitted wed
was drivin home n still overheatin n losin power but now also cuttin out n keeps on makin loud ratlin noise ....
in end it made it less than 10miles n wont start so had 2 b towed home....
any ideas wot is the problem....
