no like i said, it depends what you want, mainstream stuff like kenwood, alpine, pioneer etc are going to be cheaper than dls, clif, ma audio, focal etc as they are a niche market of not just wanting to upgrade and fill a hole.

People can still get what they are after for £150, its just a case of not having each sub available to them for demo.

tbh £150 aint alot, i guess its like anything car, pcs, houses, you can buy cheap but not gonna be the best quality.

im not spending 400 quid on comps, may have given you the wrong idea.. im not loaded and wont be making a show car. £150 ish is a lot to spend on two little speakers imo. thanks for the advice tho

Personally I would always have a seperate amp for your sub. I totally agree that you should spend more money on front components tho - I spent 400 quid on my alpine DDDrive components and they kick ass on every other stereo I have heard.

maybe get a 4ch that will power the fronts and the sub. Like this: Link BRidge the rear channels to power the sub. will better value and you have more cash available to spend on some decent components

Spend more on a decent amp for the components and the components themselves, they are more important than the sub.
