from what was said above, correct me if im worng but are you actually using the postive and neg feed from the head unit to run another amp? if you are i suggest you stop.......... if you dont no what your doing seek advice... your drawing to much power through the wiring loom which cant cope with high levels... im suprised the fuse has not gone to be honest but perhaps this was replace for a high one at some point which is a dangerous mistake anyway let alone a fire hazard. i cant see it being the head unit check your wiring b4 you do anything......... also you may find your speaker wire isnt suffient for the job its doing causing it to cut out.. | |

If you mean that u've just used the power and earth that was originally used for your stereo i'd say that could very well be your problem. You should have some decent power cable running from the battery and an equally thick cable to a good earth somewhere. | |

id check for dodgy wiring, with the vibration at high levels, it could be causing an earth somewhere? | |
