quote: so ur inlet manifold was on ur front grill? what they mean they all look the same on the outside... bar the shape of the pipe going from front grill into air box, its inside where they have all different bits. i've got a 16v box on my sport (when induction kit isn't on), i've chopped the pipes out of that.... cos the pipe from front air feed carried on 1/2 way into the box which i thought pointless (same with one going from box into manifold)

my 8v did not do that, air came straight in through the front grill!

Airboxes will differ internally between models. the 8v's use a system of sucking heat from the exhaust manifold and measuring via the vacuum pipe. 16v models didnt use this system, so the valve inside the airbox doesnt exist. if going into a 16v though, you could just cut all that crap out. rubber gromets are all in the same positions though.
