Mathmatically the car with 15s has an advantage in shorter gearing, all other things being equal. The car with 17s has a theoretical higher top speed but with the same amount of power this would not be exploitable.

If anything, the car with 15s is higher up the rev range for any given speed so should actually be better off where power is concerned, so long as it was not past peak power or on a limiter.

On the road - 15s to handle well, 17s to look good and 16s to compromise and get both. Don't worry about it.

the problem you will have there though even if both engines had same bits one would be qucker than the other making the test completley irrelevant. my 20xe corsa on 16's is quicker than my mates 20xe corsa on 15's and my other mates on 16's. they have mods i dont. just my engine is better
