yeah lower inlet manifold is different on the x16xe compared to the c16xe.

Sam, i was wondering about the whole tract from the airbox backwards, but i reckon it must be very similar.

what i wanted to do was to put the TBs and management on the x16, and then put the standard inlet + exhaust off the x16 onto the c16 to hopefully make a working engine which i could rebuild and then sell

Rob, i have never seen the inlet from a C16, but i would guess they are different, and also the C16 has no EGR valve, so you would have to fit a blanking plate to the inlet?

did think of the egr, and was plannin on blanking it off. i cant see them being that different. to fit a mantzel onto a c16xe u use bits off a x16xe inlet?

i know there is a throttle position sensor, the coolant temp sensor, crankshaft sensor??, and then theres the plug onto the distribution block thing, and a plug onto each injector, lambda sensor, inlet air temp (which is just clipped up out the way)

I'd guess it would be a straight swap as you are using after maret management what sensors are you using?

I dont think you can swap ECU's as thre are subtle differences

Rob, Loom and ECU will be a problem, since there are subtle changes between X16 and C16, such as idle control settings. Also, the block differs slightly between both, and not forgetting EGR and stuff. You might be better off just transferring the TB's and getting new engine on a dyno to recalibrate the management. Exhaust should be a straight swap.

what tb's are they?
you could drop a 2.0 in and sell me the tb's?

i currently have a knackered c16xe on TBs. have been offered a x16xe for next to nothing. im assuming i would be able to swap the TB's, exhaust and management over from the c16 to the x16?
also, would it be possible to use the x16 loom, gearbox, ecu, inlet manifold and exhaust with the c16 block and head?

thank you
