c16xe... yeh it was originally tuned to 150BHP but as you said they didnt want poeple not to buy the astra.... also the engine was produced jsut around the time the eu brought in stricter emission levels so the engine was detuned...

agreed! why copy every one and go for a 2ltr when you can be different and get a 1.6!

its not copying if you put a 2ltr in, are you one of these people, "oh some one else has a 2ltr so i'll have to be different evan tho its what i really want, i'll do different"

cutting your nose off to spite ur face is what its called.

but i agree 2ltr's are wank putting them in yourself  :|

what i'm saying is poeple think 1.6 engines are crap... and this is true in standard form...

change the inlet and its the 1.6 becomes a completely different engine..

imo... the main reason that poeple say the 2.0 has so much torque is because there is no restrictive inlet on them... combine that bit with the extra 400cc's is what makes them SOOOOOO different...

a 1.6 with aftermarket inlet is well worth it if yer thinking about converting...

the 2.0 is better again... but not everyone can have one...

I'm considering this depending on what my car looks like after the kits gone on

if i find a rear ended GSI, and I like the look of my car when its done, I'll do it

if not, bye bye corsa :|
