where u have circled u need to remove the pipe and its inside that housing 3 bolts holding housing on. when u put it back on only just tighten it back up as housing breaks. and the bottom pic that is fan switch. replace thermostat. sounds like it could be stuck shut

Thermostat is here, circled in red:

It is held on by a couple of bolts and is dead easy to change :)

Not if the car is overheating after 5 mins, it will be the thermostat...

The thermostat housing comes off with 3/4 bolts, might need a screwdriver to pry out your old thermostat. Put it in a pot of boiling water, see if its working. Mind you they only cost a few quid, might as well replace it.

The housing is normally on the cylinder head, left hand side, there will be a fat hose connected to it.

Might want to flush the coolant a few times after replacing the thermostat to remove any airlocks.

:?

Car is overheating after 5mins of use, needle getting close to 100 degrees so stop thecar and allow to cool down!

Checked everything i could think of:

Coolant - Full
Oil - Level correct

Checked for blockages to the Rad (squeezing pipes) but still didnt help.

Only other thing i can think of is the thermostat is fecked..... wher is this located and how do they come out?
