if it was a vacume leak there would be NO fault code as the sensor would be doing its job right and wouldnt register a fault. You would have dodgey idle and no ECU light coming on with just a vacum leak, to check for a vacume leak spray WD40 arounf the inlet gaskets in all the places there could be a leak, if the revs change you found the leak as it will suck in the WD40 and effect the idle. Gotta ge Idle control valve very very very common im afraid

its a bastard to do on your engine, but can be done the part is £75 its bolted to the throttle body. Vaux will charge about £200 for this job, get a haynes and do it ya self, carnt really get it wrong, i did it on my C16XE BUT i didnt have EGR and all that shit that will be in the way of the job this will all need removing to get to it as its hidden behind the engine

My car is...... Corsa-B 1.4i X14XE 1994-1996 GM-Multec S

After doing the paper clip test i came up with this fault
Idle stepper motor Poor or no idle speed control

what do i do, and is it hard to do or expensive?

Thanks, Gaz
