i think the idle air control valve needs replacing. big problem on the corsa c my bro used to work for vauxhall | |

A diesel shouldn't have a choke.. If you look in the engine bay you can see where the throttle cable comes in from the peddle to the carb, you can turn a screw there to allow the idle to shift back a bit, its not hard to do though a bitch to get at behind/below the inlet manifold.. | |

idling high constantly its the isuzu td, got the 1.7td isuzu in my astra and the choke is fine this one just sticks from 1000 to 1200 which is a pain | |

is it idling high all the time, or just when you start the engine for the first few minutes, because all petrols have an auto choke which will give an idle speed of just above 1000rpm for first few mins | |

You can adjust the idle speed by adjusting a screw somewhere. If you have a Haynes manual, or do a search then you will find out how to do it. Somone else might be able to tell you where the screw is but I dont have a clue :lol: | |

got myself a corsa B td but it seems to idle at 1000-1200 rpms which is a pain and also taking away valuable power :lol: |
