Sometimes my reverse gear is like that, try to find a 'natural' spot where it goes into reverse easier, it may involve hovering the gear over reverse for aobut 3/4 secs..

could also be gear linkage.

yeah, the clutch cable needs adjusted. This is a common problem on corsas.

Basically what you need to do is open up the bonnet, and on the right hand side (pass side), look down and you'll see a sort of clamp, with a nut on it, you basically need to pull the cable and twist the nut until the clutch pedal is slightly above the brake pedal. It might take a lot of messing about, but it's not too hard.

I'm sure someone can explain the process better than me...

But it sounds to me like thats what needs doing.

Good luck

ok, over the last week or two, its become really difficult to put the car in gear, moving or still, i have to really push it into gear, and 9/10 times when i put it in reverse, even sitting totally still, it crunches like a mofo :(
clutch is totally depressed etc, but it wasnt like it a lil while ago.

is something going or starting to go, or does something need adjusting? or am i jus bein paranoid?? i dunno. but im not askin the mechanic down the road cos he couldnt even change my 8v cam belt without fcukin it up.

cheers guys.
