yeah, i meant amp ratings.

Cause i searched for this before i posted to see if it had been asked before,

and i believe it was you who saw one, and said you needed a 'bigger' one. So i assumed that you needed bigger Relays depending on size of second battery.

slightly stupid i know :rolleyes:

I really dont know where u get your information from? Split charge relays arent amplifier specific? Or did you mean amp ratings?

Go to halfords and ask for autoleads part PC4-30, thats a 180amp split charge relay, and thats that done. Should be around £30, you wont get a 180amper that cheap anywhere else.

The earth from the second battery has to go to the cars chassis otherwise it wont charge. You can connect your amp earths directly to the battery too though.

first off where does the earth from the second battery go?
does it go to car body, or jus left alone not going anywhere.

also, i thought i was just buying a split charge relay.
i didnt know they came for different amps.

anyone know what i'll need. got a rocky x6 running 1102wrms (ish) :|


im aware i have to upgrade bonet battery +, and alternator + and -
