whats the impedance of the speakers go to do with the current draw of the amps?? :o

It does affect the draw, as the load drops the power ouput (on most amps) increases, and as such so does the current draw. Amps should list their current draws at different loads...

E.G. My audison LRx 1.400 draws about 25A at 4 ohm, but 65+A at 1 ohm.

standard corsa alt is 55Ah (i believe) and a 1.6 had a 75Ah (again, i believe) alt which fits fine, so i would go with something like that. Otherwise, you start going into custom alt's and stuff that isn't quite "off the shelf".

But again, it all depends on how much power your system is going to take. And as for split charge systems, i would suggest that you consider it as you can then supply your amps with 13-14 odd volts, which equals more power etc etc. However, it does put more stress on your alternator, so again that would need upgrading ASAP.

hmm, wouldnt that require the amp to draw out 90+ amps? sure the standard alternator is only 54?

one at 2x4ohm one at 2x2ohm
