Why are you unfastening it? If you are doing the cambelt just unbolt the pulley.

It's not a reverse thread :confused:
or else how would using the start motor to undo it work if it was reverse??

also serveral people have said it reverse thread.... i've taken off a 1.2 8v one a c16xe one an a x14xe one and they have all been normal I.E anticlockwise....

IF you still have the flywheel on, take one of the clutch over plate bolts otu and screw it in from the back.
Lay the engine on it's side, and then you'll have enough leverage, just.

if it's in the car, rest a breaker bar on the ground and undo the bolt with aid from the starter motor

It's an E20 torx bit. You'll need to go buy the 1/2" drive socket of it, cause you'll just snap the 3/8" on an adaptor.
Drapper do one it's abotu £4 and well worth it.
