thinking of upgrading my discs to v6 brakes i didnt realise you had to do all that (novice). From what youve said j1400 i could in theory get a set of v6 calipers from scrap yard buy aftermarket discs (which id have to drill) put a spigot ring on and thats it? Have you anymore info on drilling and this spigot ring thing if its that straight forward?

You can get 308mm V6 set ov from a man on mig for £205, then you need to re-drill the disk (very easy) and then a spigot ring to centre each disk.

Got V6 discs and calipers on mine, look cool, totally fill the rim and stop well too, although the rear drums now look even more shite :(

You can get those off any big block Cavalier down the scrappers for about £30. If you're a member of Trade Club, then genuine disks are about £25 - £30. Pads, about £10.

........www.autovaux.co.uk do them for about £250 incl new calipers and 4 stud 308 disks....that might be for the 288 Calibra Turbo ones though. But even so, you're going to stop on a penny.

To fill the space in the rim....if you have the cash, then go for 308's. :)
