not being funny mate but i got exactly them same sounds (i could also feel it through the steering wheel) when I forgot to tighten up my wheel bolts properly once the car was back on the ground :|

Put them in when it was on the jack and did them up as much as possible, then it just totally slipped my mind. Would only happen when i brake or accelerate

My wheel ended up coming off :|

I've seen new Koni's give up after a few hundred miles. Can happen to any shock absorber. Worth checking..

its cheaper to buy complete control arms with bushes already fitted than buying and fitting the bushes

i might fork out a bit every other week and get each bit replaced until all my steering components are new.

i would think its more likely the control arms think i paid £90ish for 2 new control arms with bushes fitted at ATS

which bit are the track rods ends, anyway of seeing if they need replacing?

are they easy/cheap to replace?

Thats normal with the drive shaft, sounds like a bush problem, just shaking the wheels/hub might not show up the worn bush you have to use a metal pole as a lever to find the offending bush, could be track rod ends, or control arms

took front wheels off and looked around, couldn't see any thing oviously wrong, and the only movement was when i grabbed driveshaft i could pull it back and forth and it moved about 5mm each way, don't think its the same clunk as coming thru steering wheel.

i would say its clunking further up, so could be steering rack.

have noticed at low speeds going over bumps the front make a funny noise, it when the shocks compress :boggle:
