sorted I bought some dodgy bulbs from motor world that was the problem

Only those from fitting ICE.

There's a few behind the dash and at points in the loom down the left side of the car, as well as one by the ECU I think.

it may not be something to do with earthing. some wires may have crossed. or the brake lights are getting a permanent feed from somewhere. try following the wires from the brake lights back and see what happens. also try to think of anything that may have caused it (i.e; hav you wired anything up recently

Ian do you know all the earthing points in a corsa? i have a serious earthing problem but cant find the source :mad:

Could also be the alternator, mine done this and took all charge from the battery.

The pedal just has a switch, they're adjustable for position by a small amount but that shouldn't cause the light to the be slightly on.

The brake lights don't work when the engine is off anyway.

Definately an earthing problem. I'm sure there's an earthing point behind the side panels in the boot, check that. There may also be one near the numberplate light but inside the boot.

Aint there a sensor on the actual foot pedal, this can be adjusted i believe.

check all your earthing points...gearbox, body and alternator

I have a corsa with a 2.0 16v redtop engine my break lights are on very slighty all the time when the engine is switched of this flats the battery all the time i dont know what it is anyon got any ideas....
