you are far better off dropping the old oil, filling it up to minimum with new oil, running for 30mins, dropping oil again, changing filte and filling up with new oil.

this will wash out the old oil and not disturb/ damage anything:thumbs:

fanx for the advice guys. my engine has used 5 litres of oil in the last 5-6 months.
its a 1.6 sport
engine has done 68000 miles.
no signs of leaks, jus blueish smoke coming from the exhaust.

so i should bin the flush?

NOOOOOOOOOOOO dont use it, the blue smoke is a sign either your piston rings are on the way out or the valve stem seals are. engine flush loosens out the old crud in the engine, but this crud is probably doing you a favour and sealing a few holes, also i question its ability to rejuvinate the rubber seals. my mate used it on his clio and i think it sounded rougher after he did this.

BE CAREFUL if your engines old then the old oil will have sealed up the blemishes inside your engine using the flush will open up old cracks and it might do more harm than good
