I've decided on getting a new head-unit, as the VDO is a little aged:lol:
One i'm hoping to get is a JVC KD-S641 CD Head Unit..anyone know does this have the perouts to plug the amp straight into?

cheers Pete:thumbs:

positive to the battery, negative to the car shell and the remote wire attaches to back of the head unit. (remote wire basically switches the amp on when you turn your head unit on). Inputs are for RCA connectors which would normally come from pre outs on a after market head unit. As you wont have any pre outs I dont think the amp is suitable, you need a amp which can take a speaker input as Adi said.

Am a little confused..

Amp has 2 channels (+ and -) (+ and -), the + and - for power and a plug for ''Rem''...
...and...
...Left and Right input, and knobs for rele, Bass and Gain.

I've heard peeps on here that have to wire the amp straight onto he battery??

cheers

VDO Dayton make the standard units used in most new vauxhalls atm.

you will need an amp that can take a speaker input, then use the rear channels for the sub.
