I've decided on getting a new head-unit, as the VDO is a little aged:lol:

positive to the battery, negative to the car shell and the remote wire attaches to back of the head unit. (remote wire basically switches the amp on when you turn your head unit on). Inputs are for RCA connectors which would normally come from pre outs on a after market head unit. As you wont have any pre outs I dont think the amp is suitable, you need a amp which can take a speaker input as Adi said.
