think lee mitchel might be selling one, they come up for sale from time to time, i had one on my GSI well worth it, fit the GTE throttle body it wont do any harm what so ever, wish i had tried it

so to summerise some opinions so far:
, dont bother with larger throttle body
, dont bother with injectors
dont bother with boost valve
:boggle:

are the gte t.b's basically the enlarged t.b's from regal at 250 quid? do these have the ICV?

i was talking to courtney sport today, no mantzels but they are developing there own inlet manifold, ready in about 5-6 weeks. be interesting to see how it perform's. talking of about 500 quid.

where else can i get either a new or 2nd hand mantzel or lexmaul?

They had a seperate ICV, yes it will idle.

It will idle fine without it, but when cold it won't idle so happily, that's all.

could you attach a ICV to the plug on the loom but fix the ICV out the way and not have a fault code pop, how is idle controlled on the GTE cos surely the X16XE wont idle without a bypass round the butterfly

A nova GTE item goes straight on, but there's no ICV, fitting bigger injectors is just asking to run rich and loose power.
Get the inlet modded and unichiped.
As said a powerboost valve does pish all, it's just a fuel pressure regulator.
best get saving for a mantzel I guess

lol, yeah anyone who believes a rolling road which makes those claims is silly..(no you who ever told you) 1.6 is the better option

only saying what i was told... i dont car, i bought a 1.6 lump

106 from those mods is the biggest pile of crap ever! i had a x14xe with lexmaul, viper, superchip(yuck) scorpion grp a exhaust....ran 109bhp.

i almost bought an x14xe with a boost valve and full sebring zorst, which stangely ran 106 bhp :boggle: the throttle body may improve throttle response a bit and induction noise but not give any extra ponies as such

dont get a boost valve, get the car mapped properly.
a 1.4 16v with inlet mods...about 110bhp tops.

ok, i was just thinking along the lines of if i'm getting more air in with a larger t.b, i would add a bit more fuel. do you think the boost valve will keep enough pressure & fuel in?
has anyone else got this sort of package?
what sort of bhp do ya think it could achieve?

its all for a 1995 corsa.

on a standard lump the throttle body isn't really a limiting factor

Possibly mod a nova GSI/GTE throttle body, but you will need a mantzel power box to do it properly, wont need bigger injectors till ya running throttle bodies and thats when ya running major rpm and wild cams

i have a x14xe that i'm wanting to fit a larger throttle body with some saab blue injectorsor similar, with a power boost valve.

basically i want to know what other vauxhall models i could get the t.b off at the local scrappys, that will be a straight replacement for my standard one without loads of hassle.

will one off a astra 1800 or 2litre go staight on?

my intention is to run it with a lexamaul or mantzel inlet manifold, 4 branch exhaust manifold & a mappable chip.

any comments or help appeciated
