I'd say oil temp would be LESS accurate from the sump as thats where cold air passes when your driving...?

i got a oil temp and pressure gauge on my 1600 8v but is same principle. oil pressure comes off where the oil pressure switch it for your oil warnign light(either t piece for mechanical or a sender for electrical) my oil temp is straight off the sump(needs to be for accurate reading) i had my dad braise an adapter on and the probe just screws in,but people have tapped the sump plug if its big enough and iv seen a sump plug adaptor. my gauge is a racetech not cheap but looks good, oil pressure top half oil temp bottom half. hope this helps, all the bits are avaliable at demon tweeks
