Yeah im thinking this, i got him to take the battery off for a while, and when he started up again the managment light stayed on, will read the codes again tomorrow as i think a couple of them may have been previous faults which i have now fixed (crank sensor)

willing to bet it hasnt got four faults!! and three are effectrs rather than cause!

1110 might be something to do with EGR

near the hand brake under some plastic cover. Gonna try disconnecting the battery, Anyone know what the Switch over valve solenoid is?

disconnect the battery for half an hour should reset the ecu.
make sure he knows the radio code if there is one.

where was the plug then?

found it now, got the codes

0325 - Knock Sensor
0335 - Crank Shaft Sensor
0120 - Throttle Potentio Sensor
1110 - Switch over valve solenoid

Right the first three are pretty self explanortory, but what is the last one? never heard of it.

how ddo you reset the codes as i have tried the key thing 30 times but still logging the codes.

calibra one was behind the n/s suspension turret.
near the fuel ron plug.

dunno if vectra is the same

Where is the diagnostic plug in a P Reg Vectra 1.8ls?

Im sitting in the car at the moment but cant find it looked in engine bay and fuse box but cant find it.
