ITS NOT THE EGR ITS THE SECONDARY AIR INJECTION. oops caps, and no its dont cause problems. think of the manifold as a restriction, if you remove cat and exhaust etc then the manifold is the next option. makes the car smoother

do they make much difference?

also does removing the EGR system cause any troubles?

also if you do the others up tight enough it may not blow, i know on my old car i stripped the thread on the head on one bolt for the manifold, did the other up tight and it was ok, admittedly it was the middle not the end bolt but worth a try

that would make a lot more sence!
ill have a look tonight if it still light when i get back.

its quick enuff, 140bhp 120lbft torque. the oil cap i just snapped the yellow bit off as it looked gay! can you not redrill the hole so it lines up better, i.e redrill the manifold not the head!

the very last bolt (hidden by rad pipe, far left it just doesnt seem to be over the hole for bolt to go through. how quick was your gsi - im interested in a lexmaul induction unit - looks like a lot of works been done there looks sweet though. whats going on with the fuel cap - is their a replacement for when the cover is off?

I never got a chioce tbh. gave them all the details i could. didnt think their would be much of a difference in relation to the head - though t it was just egr and inlet manifold that were different.-

hummm odd did you get the correct one, they do to one for the c16xe and one for the x16xe!

Wouldnt even attempt to drill into the head mate. Gonna be ££££ if you fcuk it up.

hmm all others are fine and the gasket sits sweet. to be honest ive left it as is - its not blowing but ill guess ill have to try and get a drill in their.

Mark Broster has one, they are very very good quality so this suprises me, what engine, pics would help
End of the day if all others are fine and the gasket seats ok, then drill the hole in the right place then ya wont be waiting 3 months for the next one to be made

any of you had any problems fitting one of these? it seems like the end bolt on left hand side(nr filter) is not even close to hole on head. all others fit fine. wonder if its common prob or fuck up.
