i think i remember asking about this before.... cant find the post though...

iirc alot of people said it would be a bit of a cnut.....

yes doable... but straight swap no....

as far as i know the x12xe has sensors all over it and is generally a piece of poo....

all of the above could be wrong though.... just going from memory:o

my advise if its for yer mam... is to whack a LET under there:lol: only kidding

em.. a replacement 1.2/1.4 8v about 80quid and about 3 hrs work....
:)

I knew someone would say stick in a 1.4 or simialr  Its for my old dears car and to be honest a 1.2 suits her fine as she does about 26 miles a week  I tried telling her she wanted a LET but she was having none of it

I have a X-plate 2000 Corsa B 1.2 16V (X12XE) engine and box for sale but no loom.

£100 ono and can deliver reasonalbe distances from Nottingham...

As said the late 1.2 will be 16V the early will be a 8V

yeah 99- T is 16v
but to be honest, if you are swapping the engine stick a 1.4 or 1.6 in it, cos the work will be about the same

Are there any differences between 1.2 LS (93L plate) and 1.2 (99 T plate) and how much work would it be swopping them over?

Also what is an T plate 1.2 engine, box and loom etc worth?
