map sensor is a lil green plug on the bulkhead with 3 wires connected to it & a vacuum hose from thje manifold to the sensor (black tube, about 7mm wide) its about an inch to the left of the header tank

check make sure the vacuum hose is connected & not blocked

Have now re-set ECU and all codes have now gone so all looks to be well. What is the MAP sensor tho?

sounds like the lamda sensor to me, i dont know would imagine that to be correct as it senses the amount of oxygen in the exhaust gases doesnt it

Just did paperclip test on Mums 1.2 LS and it came up with the following codes:

12 - Initiation of diagnosis
34 - Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor
45 - Oxygen sensor

The garage have changed temp sensor and lamba (sp) sensor....am I right in thinking the lamba (sp) sensor is the oxygen sensor?

The car is using a stupid amount of fuel and the garage are now all out of ideas and have just said the ECU is knackered....help please
