quote: u may have a point here... this problem only started after i left the car in a back street garage to have a clutch done( i should have just done it myself) maybe the took the drive shafts out completely... hmmmm... ive been trying to trace back everything they would have loosened to get the gearbox out to change the clutch... i personally wouldn't have taken the shafts out of the hubs but maybe they did and didnt tighten them back up..... i will check this out later before order wheel bareings...... [Edited on 13-12-2004 by Siberia]

Simple, line up and press. you can get the hub out easy enough with a big hammer, just getting them in needs a press.

front wheel bearings arent really diy jobs unless you have a hydrualic press, i doubt youll ever get the bearing out the hub without one

up and down play is usually wheel bearings, and side to side play is track rod ends or the steering rack its self

yea it fucked.the bearing is pressed into the hub carrier then held by 2 cirlips. then the hub is pressed into the bearing
