Dont think its the mounting bots, i think its the actual pipe as i have already tunred them so the ends wont hit the rear beam, ill take a trip to halfrauds nd see what i can see. Cheers

check the mounting bolts for the rear silencer as these sometimes catch the rear beam , just loosen them and turn them so they dont. Also you could try performance exhaust mounts tho expensive, or goto halfords and buy their exhaust mounts which are stronger rubber than vaux ones and also give u the option of using the mounts horizontal or vertigal, which would bring the exhaust up a bit from the rear beam.

No it isnt universal its a direct fit twin 3", not a branded one its a custom i think i bought it off mike@sri off here. I am using rubber mounts i think the exhaust is hitting the rear beam but i doent just do it when under a load it does it all the time!

the ratting is caused by lowering or a heavy load. I jacked mine up and couldnt see where it was rattling at all, but its when the car is so low the exhaust hits the rear beam.

I fitted my new exhaust last week and it was rattling about like mad, i jacked the car up and had a look at it today, tightened and moved the bracket holding the box to the rest of the pipe but... |
