Thats what i was thinking, something loose etc. Hope it is something that simple, cant be fooked to pay out anymore on it.

doubt it - but could just be something simple like a sensor coming loose / disconnected or something like that.

Thus as you drive the sensor plug is loose and keeps going on and off...

You might want to check it out - otherwise the problem may get worse.

My engine has been running shit for ages, but can't be bothered to pay a load to get it diagnostic checked - and it's progressively getting worse and worse. I'm going to have to get it checked soon as the car is almost undrivable now.

Paper clip test doesn't work on 1.2 16v Sxi's :( sadly...

paper clip test fella, do a search and do it, then..

also, when does it do it? does it stall at junctions? does the car drive any differently?

Should I know Aaron Usmani?

They talk a load of shit. Even if the light isn't on at all it will probably still show up fault codes. If the light goes on for longer than like 2 seconds it stores a code I think.

Yea slough is the worst place ever!! Do u know Aaron Usmani???

I take it to Thames Valley Garage on the trading estate (top notch service) and they said if it isnt on all the time then it wont show up on it??!

Get a diagnostic check! they'll plug your car into a machine and it'll tell them the codes (problems which it has been flashing up)...

However!!! I just noticed your from Slough Unlucky  I'm also from slough (though I'm mostly in Reading at Uni now) - but back when I was at slough I went to the Vauxhall garage on the trading estate to get my car diagnostic checked.

Guess how much they asked for? £76!!! :!

That's the most I've heard of anyone ever getting charged. Most are £35 or under - so I didn't bother getting it checked there.

You may be lucky and be able to do a 'paper clip' test on your car to find out the problem. Or just go to the motorist discount center on the farnham road (across from KFC) and just buy a hand held diagnostic checker for £20 or whatever.

Over the past few weeks my engine management lights comes on for about 10-15 seconds then goes off, never done it before. Any1 know why?? Engine sounds a bit noisy (under the inlet manifold) and i had the head gasket done about a month ago if that has anything to do with it? Its a 1.4 16v sport and only done 57k, really beginning to fook me off!!!

Cheers
