the battery is fooked... it cant cope with the load of the starter, even if its showing propper voltage it still cant supply the current. Had the same on a 106 that'd bin stood for 18 months this weekend

I carnt understand what he is saying, is the battery losing charge on its own???, or is trying to start it draining the battery????, or will it not charge???, or is it fully charged and not turning the engine????

but if it is the battery. But still, it would 'try' and turn the engine. I turn the key now, and all i get is nothing, no clicks and my voltage is dropping.

try using jump leads from another car and go for a spin, see if it starts afterwards

Would chargering the battery with the negitive lead connected to the car but the positive not, make any differeance, as doesnt harm the ecu?

so the battery has full charge, but if you try to start it the car makes a click every time ya go to turn it over, sounds like starter solenoid if its doing this,

Charged battery last nite and i've done the same procedure everytime i battery goes flat, undid the red wire on battery and placed the charger pegs onto the batt. Reconnected everything and all the car does is make a single 'click' sound then nothing happens. |
