4pot kit - 280mm discs

How much difference do you reckon there would be with braking performance for both the road and occasional trackday use?

BUt i couldn't see any temp range options for that kit?

I thnk the brake bias valve was only on the 1.4 and 1.6 corsa b's as there was a pressure regulating valves for corsa b's with the smaller engine

You can choose from various temp ranges, personally on a road car ones that bite from 0degrees are best, I have track ones on mine but onld start to work at 200deg, so aren't good on road use.

ahhhhhhhh!! y didnt i see them a few months when i was ordering my brakes:mad: i always though 4 pots would cost the earth....

That consists of, calipers(x2) brackets to fit, 280mm dics, and bolts.
Pads would be needed and new hoses.

4 pots are the way forward

Also had problem on 2L brakes, wound out the bia asjuster on the rear beam and improved things

ABS is for girls anyways;)

Not a fan of V6 calipers, they weight a ton :O

I've never adjusted mine with lowering and/or fitting bigger brakes up front.

regarding the original q, i didnt adjust the brake bias with my v6's

the calipers were new on a month or 2 ago... and the MOT was done last month and nothing was picked up as unusual.

its just that the ABS has had a tendancy to kick in more frequently since the drums were done (week after mot)

the rear drums are self tentioning, and the ABS is probably triggering cos the V6 calipers have a tendancy of locking up the disks, even a slight difference in rotation between the individual wheels will convince the ABS system into you are going into a skid and it will opperate.

Sticky caliper then, that's what causes turnign under braking. get it to a MOT tester to have the brakes check, they should do it for free for you, and tell you the balance of the car.

its been bled all round twice already... im pretty confident that theres no air in there

Another reason why i thought the rear was braking too much is since i had the new drums fitted the garage obviously tentioned up the shoes correctly etc and since then the abs has been kicking in more frequently which leads me to believe the rear wheels are trying to lock up

but as for pulling to one side, just bleed the brakes, front & rear, and topup the fluid see if that helps...

tbh sounds like air in one side of the system!

i fit V6 calipers & lowered the car 60mm at same time...

tbh I think each other cancelled it out as when the car was in for its MOT they said the brakes were balanced well which suprised them due to the size of the calipers!

Hi.... I was just wondering if anyone has adjusted the brake bias valve on their corsa when fitting the bigger calipers up front?

My car is pulling to one side when braking hard and i suspect this may be down to the rear brakes doing most of the braking. As i had new drums fitted a couple weeks back and before then the rear brakes were doing bugger all.

Any advice apreciated!
