You need a late alternator, the non-v belt ones. Went to the motor factors a few days ago and was told that. The push 100 amps.

I know the one I have on atm - the belt is approx 3mm away from the cam belt cover!! Its not catching but its fecking close and you can see where its caught in the past as the paint has worn away!

i had a turbo one on mine at 1st and it rubbed had to take it off and change it..

It's 100A, and 4cyl alt will fit yours bolt on, but you may need to swap the alt from multi V to single though.

My XE is running a 70A V-Belt type altenator. Just wondered if any of a higher output were available in V-belt as a direct bolt-on fitment as mines about dead :( :(
