chain is replaced on 1.0 @ 100k unless its noisey as most are

I thought recommendations on timing chain was 100k? but i might be wrong.
Generally speak unless they go rattly they are fine, but they are much more expensive to replace than timing belts.

Nope, timing chains are non servicable items, they self adjust hydraulically and do not need to be replaced as often as a timing belt. *I think*. Somone might prove me wrong though...

i 'think' 12v's have timing chains & not belts... so should be ok

but dont take my word on this!

My corsa is a 1 litre 12valve, its done 50,000 does it need the timing belt changed yet? Also is it a belt on the 12 valve or is it a chain? & if anyone knows the price of the parts? cheers :thumbs:
