yeh theres a little clip that goes over the thread on the clutch cable down at the gearbox to stop the thread moving...

honestly that may not be helping but i doubt its the cause of this problem.

i stumped on this one......

any suggestions on the following...

right my clutch..... it only got replaced yesterday cos it felt like it was slipping to me.... when i got it back yesterday it felt to me like it wasent adjusted right .. so i got out the haynes and done the trick with the piece of stick were u measure the distance to the steering wheel with the pedal un depressed and then the distance with it depressed.

it should be between 126mm and 132mm according to my haynes. mine was reading 114mm wayyyyyyyyyyy out .

so i adjusted it to about 129-130mm as its a new clutch. tryed to drive the car and it would barely move except for a tiny bit of bite at the top of the pedal.... the only way it will bite right is if i adjust it way out of spec again.... this means thats there feck all adjustment left and in a few months i'll need another clutch:(

the engine is a c16xe with f15 box. the cable is off a c12nz with f10 box.

suggestions please as to the problem.......

thank u please.
