use the both brakets and the altenator itself off your 1.4....

u will need to change the crankshaft pulley to do this.

or u could use the altenator thats on the c16xe and get a bracket made up as i have mentioned above.......

wel i got my tensioner this mornin and i cant see an obvious place where it would go, so i was wondering wether i could use the alternator braket off my 1400 engine to tension the belt with the alternator! - and obviously i can so i think i wil be takin the tensioner bak tomorrow!

u cabn also use alt brackett from x14xe with out pas wich has the tensioner built in then use x14xe engine mount from car with out pas

u wont need any tensioner.... u will be using the altenator as one......

i swaped out my 1.2 8v for a c16xe only last week.

i had to get a braket made up... simple

it ma be different on yours

adam-d done one a 1.4 8v to c16xe and he just used the brackets off the 1.4 8v.

the tensioner is just below the alternator or at least thats where its bolted on

im puttin a corsa gsi engine in my 1400 8v sri and im not bothering swaping over the p/s which means im having to get a shorter drive belt and also the tensioner wil have to go sumwher on the bak of the engine ive been told, im gettin one tommorow and im just wondering if you could tel me wher the tensioner is positioned
