a cool running thermo wouldnt solve the problem just avoid it, id be happier finsing out what the proob was to start with. try flushing the lot out see what happens then

not yet mate going to sort it sunday, might order a cool stat then, flush rad and fill up with coolant/antifreeze.

does anyone know if 'water wetter' is any good? its supposed to run cooler than standard coolant.

Cool running thermostat would be useful. Have you checked for airlocks in the system?

dropped the 1.6 sport engine (velos, chipped etc) into my old 1.4 sport and it seems to get very hot in engine bay, the coolant temp seems to always be jus below 100!!! anyone else had this problem?

should i get bigger rad and cool 'stat from coutenay sport?
or would flushing my rad help to clean all shit out? whats best flush to use?
