Infact, I've just found some receipts for the car for a Cavalier CV Joint so i'm assuming I'll be looking for cavalier ones!

They did do a C20XE in a Cav then?

Thanks for uploading the pics buddy! I've taken 2 or 3pics of both driver/passenger side, appears to be more of a crap build up on the passenger side, yet less oil or whatever it is thrown up in the wheel arch.

The CV Boots dont look too bad, i know its not easy to kinda tell on them pictures but any help would be great! thanks!

OH AND! The bottom picture is of my froll bar, apparanlty its been conected wrong where i've taken the picture? YES/NO!? :boggle:

The brake fluid level is full, loosing nothing there, just taken some pics or the leaky area, how do i upload them though matey?

PaulW

posted on 12th Oct 04 at 13:11

you checked the level of the brake fluid in the res?? if its low then yes will more thna likely be the calipers, but if not, could also be something like a leaky shocker if there fluid-based & not gas shockers...

I've noticed that my front two alloys are covered in grease/brake fluid but that car is that low i haven't had the chance to have a good look, nor the time to jack it up!

The brakes are very spongy, but that could be due to the fact they need bleeding..........and its not them that are leaking, maybe the driveshaft gaiter.......

Wondering if anyone else has had this problem with there GTE brakes......the grease/brake fluid has sprayed in my wheel arch and on my paint work. If it was brake fluid, surely the paint would strip off pretty quickly......but this hasn't happened.......

Any help appreciated before i investigate more!
