mine used to come on in the 1ltr and the car would drive evan slower than normal, like somthing was pulling it back, then i'd drop down a gear to pick up revs quicker, then it would go awayand the car wud be fine. :lol:

never did get to the bottoom of it, car got wrote off instead lol.

My light came on and off whilst driving and also ended been air idel valve!

My engine manangement light came on at random times to but you could feel when it was about to come on as there was a loss of power in the engine and accelertion stopped, turned out to be my air flow meter just got anothere the other day from a scrappies sorted!

i had this also and it turned out to the the start of the idle control valve going.

They are just over £50

And mine is the opposite. If I stop and turn the engine off, when I start again (and the engine is still warm) the light comes on. Also comes on if a cruise about 4000rpm (just under 80mph) on motorway for a length of time.
Car still feels fine tho, just take the orange bulb out and forgoet about it :lol:

mine only does it on the motorway, seems to happen when i got a lot of petrol in it... also seem to burn a lot of oil if anyone knows what it is i'd be chuffed :)

Car doesnt do it when at lights etc, mainly when driving. Doesnt mis-fire either. Any more ideas guys? thanks for your feedback!

is your car misfiring, if it is its probably just a fuse, it happened to me about 4mths ago, i blew a fuse with an electric compressor when pumpin up a tyre

i had asimilar problem and it was my idle valve cost 130 for vaux to fix!!

My girlfriends corsa 1.2:

The orange engine managment light comes on and off at random times :(. Doesn't seem to stay on for ages, but will come on once or twice each journey? Any ideas guys?
