Speak to Proven Products, Jondel or Demon Tweeks, etc and get a Pipercross dome filter and rampipes :)

Total including VAT & UK Delivery: £57.58
Not as cheap, but still cheaper than most places!

not as cheap as who?

Not as cheap as the original price you quoted. The price you quote from Rally Nuts wasn't including VAT. When I added to the cart, it calculated the total price including postage.

What do you lads reckon to Jenvey 45mm tapers with 40mm trumpets, will the fit. Will be on an angled manifold and they are quite a bit more compact than the3 parallels.

A "good" 20XE on TB's with ARP's and std exhaust manifold is about 190-200 and abotu 170-175lbs of torque. But you'll need to chose a ecu to run it all. I use emerald, but most like MBE or DTA
They're easy to fit yourself, a doddle. It's getting them tapped though, might want to ask QED to tap them for you. I took the ones I did to a machine shop. Good luck with it.

right ok cheers... not too bad then :) I just need to decide whether to fit them myself or see if I can find someone I can pay to do it for me.

What bhp/torque figures can i expect with this kind of setup? with Kent fast road cams and 4 branch manifold + stainless powerflow exhaust...

Cheers for the help guys

Rally Design = £55 + vat and post, £71 all in.

£45 plus is an excellent price and much cheaper than everyone else.

miles

You can get them for £6 more than that from Rally Design, assuming no one else bids.

posted on 2nd Oct 04 at 17:33

right ok... well sounds like i need to get some direct to head throttle bodies and some arp bolts. Any reccommendations on where to get these from?

And where can I get them fitted or am i going to have to do it myself? lol

James R

What I mean is you can rev to 8k (near enough) with ARP's in, so you can hold gears a lot longer, otherwsie you spend all the itme changing gear rather than being in gear. if you get me now.

He means that if you dont fit the bolts you cant rev it as high else it will break...

you loose accel if you dont put arp rod bolts in ????

The rod bolts are strengthened to ensure the rod stays in contact with the crank at high revs. You need the higher revs to make the most of a TB setup

I've gone for QED DTH too, as the bulkhead would need futher chopping to get the bigger trumpets on

Think i get what your meaning about the rod bolts now..... If he doesnt fit them he wont map it too 7k+....... then he'd loose the power?

When I was looking at fitting TB's to a mates 20XE corsa I thought jenvey parallels wouldn't fit in, and went for QED DTH bodies which fit a treat with 40mm trumpets on. ARP's defo need to be fitted aswell because the power goes on past 7k so you loose accel if you don't put them in. good luck.

yea I have heard that about velos :( but there must be someone or somewhere else surely?

as well as arp bolts what other internal mods would you reccommend?

miles

posted on 1st Oct 04 at 21:09

I assume the DTA isn't the ignition system and that it can control the fueling as well.

You'll need a inlet manifold, some internal mods wouldn't go a miss either, at least some arp bolts.

I would have reccomended velos as they were close to you, but to my understanding they have stopped trading.

Im getting a bit bored of my C20xe corsa now and figure its time to fit some throttle bodies :D

Lucky for me a friend has some spare jenvy 45mm with dta ignition which used to be on his C16XE Nova. What will I need to fit these to my C20Xe?

Also... does anyone know of anywhere that would fit them for me as im going to struggle to find the time to fit them myself without having a spare car to get to work in.

Cheers
