If its for 1/4 mile use only then let nitrous be your friend. A Nova with a standard XE and nitrous has done a 13.3, with more to come. Get get 250bhp quite easily with the right spec from the xe without gas.

iv got 212 bhp already, with the TB's, cams and remapped ecu.already stripped out,got uprated shocks and springs, got tarmac race tyres on compmotive MO's.

just want to go madder than just doing the engine up, alredy planned to get it bored out to a 2.1 ,forged pistons, lightened and balanced, you know the usual.
but i want more..
dean i was going to be doing the nitrous as well as the supercharger. looks like a long winter in the garage makeing everything fit.
oh well iv got /7 months b4 its needed again.
mostly for 1/4 mile days,so not really caring about handeling.

Lexmaul's C20XE supercharger kit won't fit.

I'd love to see a XE with 190bhp without tb's.

Low compression pistons are for turbo's, you actually want high compression pistons on a n/a car for performance.

Up the N/A spec then if your already running throttle bodies. Get a LSD if you've not got one.

A Let Corsa wont handle as well as yours should if you get it set up properly.

You'd be looking at a lot of cash and work to get a supercharged XE quicker than a sorted LET.

i dont want to get a turbo, 1 of my mates is getting a 20let in his corsa(there both just trackday cars) but i want to be different and still be able to blow him away.
will any supercharger do or not??
anyone ever done this and can help me out with some advice??

If its trackday performance you want, flow some cash towards some coilovers if you havent already, then get it stripped out big time. Engine wise, you should be able to see 180-190bhp without TB's or S'charging it. Raising the rev limit and some bottom end strengthening, gas flowed and ported head, low comp pistons etc. If you already done all this, TB's is the way forward i think. www.sbdev.co.uk is good for pricing and information.

Get a XE with a decent spec and you should see him off on the track...
