i hope not or i'm forkin out 200 quid for a new ecu.
anyway, tappets are gettin done.

its had the engine management checked at a garage. You can tell its restricting when your drivin it as well, unless thats somethin else, but i don't think it is. Funny thing is, the ECU dash light only went on once then off and has stayed off.

Does anybody know if noisy tappets would set off the knock sensor and hence engine management?
Just found out yesterday that my ECU is retarding/restricting the engine.
Gettin the tappets done anyway, they need doing, very noisy. But i'm interested to know if that'l solve the problem.

its a 1995 corsa sri 1.4 ecotec 16v.
