thanx for the advice SRI-CO.
How did you start up the engine? cos when we fitted the new idle speed control motor we had to take all the pipes off from the expansion tank, inlet manifold, and we had toake all the vacuum hoses off. Then we had to take out the expansion tank, battery and move the inlet manifold to get to it.
:(

not something simple like a sticky throttle now is it? have you "reset" the ecu?

Andy

p.s a dodgy charging system can make it do this sometimes too:thumbs:

My car is always reving up to 5 which sounds really bad especially when im at traffic lights next to somebody else! Its had a diagnostics test and it said code 0505. So we fitted a new idle speed control motor on tuesday night, but its still reving its arse off!!
Has anyone else had this problem?
What else could i change? Cos i don't fancy a trip to vauxhall :(
Please help soon.
Cheers Ness
