my current one is an FP i think. Ill buy it anyway, can always sell it on ebay again! :lol: Least i will get free postage this way :D | |

so it wont matter if u change loom and ecu but u may have o change some sensors aswell. then theres the later ones with dispack etc | |

what did ur engine come out off? early ones have a little tps and later ones have a bigger one or the other way around. the best ecu's for the xe's are the ones with FP on them. they were early ones. u may not have a lambda sensor but ur new one might. and u may not get that so that may be something else u may have to buy | |

I was told that so long as you use the matching wiring loom the engine should be ok. | |

As you have probably heard, my XE conversion hasnt been running 100% pretty much since ive had it and im getting it sorted. Ive been offered an ECU and a full wiring loom for £50, but not sure waht the code on the ECu is. My question is, does the code on the ECU matter if you change all the wiring loom too, or will i still need the proper one for my car? |
