just rang LV. nearly 200 cheaper than current, and like u said, no extra for mods, just have to have pictures for proof of parts ownership...

So to sum it up. i can actually afford to touch some part of my car without a car insurer bending me over and giving me what for.

thanks :D

LV -

We cannot insure:
Motor cycles, vans, pick ups, minibuses.

Cars which have not been manufactured for the UK market e.g. Japanese imports.

Cars which have performance enhancing modifications.

Cars which are used abroad for more than 180 consecutive days.

Cars which are in excess of £100,000 in value.

Cars that are registered and normally kept outside of mainland United Kingdom,
the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands.

Drivers outside the age range of 17 and 79.

^^ 3rd point :/

assuming theyll class cars with induction kits/lowered/"non standard" exhaust as performance enhanced ? :S

been with Endsleigh for a year now and im just coming up to my 1st year ncb. [been driving 3 yr's but was on parents insurance for 2, stupid seeing as how i had spare cash then]

Recently decided id been driving around in my 1.4 sport for too long without doing something with it.

So decided to go for a magnex full cat system, some 15's and a drop of 30mm.

just before i ordered i rang endlseigh jsut to make sure id still be covered, answer was yes, but at the expense to me of nearly 2k. after much laughing i hung up.

Before i go trying another 20 with no luck, anyone suggest a co. or give me a rough estimate if there in a similar situation to me.

Btw, the insurance will know of the exhaust only as "non standard" not cat back ;P

Thanks.
