wasnt the actual pulley but the keyway on the crank that had worn. luckily it wasnt that bad and so i just realigned it and packed it with some locktite just to make sure, but if you need a new crank then its probably cheaper to stick a 2litre in | |

most cars will perform better when cold. but if its a drastic reduction in performance when your runnin warm then it could be piston rings. | |

i've got more or less the same problems with my 1.4 sri 16v. mines has had the head gasket done and its gettin new piston rings. if you've got an induction kit on it my advice would be to get rid of it. thats why your running rich. i put the standard airbox back on mine and saw a big improvement. | |

change the sensors that controll the fuel: lambda and collant temp sensors. Its a start | |
