normally when this occurs it is due to the lack of power you will have burnt out the coil amp in the back off the head unit for that side

Maybe when the door cards back on its making the speaker short out on the the door itself where the wires touch which stops it working

What headunit you using? Ive seen this problem and its turned out to be an old/duffer headunit.

I know mate im totally out of ideas. My install is getting done this saturday, so ill get him to re-do the wiring properly, and that will hopefully fix it... Is it something to do with the way my HU is wired in? Or grounding or something? i really dont know.

must be something to do with your wiring, but i cant imagine what would give that effect...

I have some Alpine SXS 1357 5.25" speakers in the front of my Corsa B, and some Alpine 6x9's in the back. Now, the 6x9's work no problem. But at the front i can only seem to get one speaker to produce sound at a time, if the left one isnt working, i take it out check everything, put it back in, and it works, then the right one stops working....??

Is it bad wiring? or lack of power or what? Surely it cant be lack of power, i mean even if you were running a rubbish HU, it would still produce sound correct?

Its really getting annoying, any ideas would be great.
